Personality disorder service user help and support from Emergence

We are delighted to announce an exciting call out for Art and Artists for our ‘Building Visual Lives’ Exhibition.

This dynamic exhibition, which will include a series of mini events, will be held at the Together Our Space Gallery, Old Street, London, from 11 – 28 June.

The mini events will include: visual art exhibitions, debates and workshops tracing people’s histories through creativity and social narratives.

The ‘Building Visual Lives’ Exhibition aims to:

• Explore the diversity of journeys that individuals who identify with personality disorder have experienced.

• Present narratives of those who have experienced the difficulties associated with personality disorder especially the idea of extreme social exclusion.

• Create an open dialogue between the public and those with a lived experience of personality disorder to raise awareness.
  

Emergence has launched the 2012/13  National Postcard Competition open to all people affected by personality disorder.

A winner and four runners up will be announced in six months and each will receive a framed print of their work and their image will be used on Emergence postcards to raise awareness and challenge stigma about personality disorders.

So please get creative and tell us what personality disorder means to you!
